What You’ll Be Doing: 

  • Conduct SMSF audits, reviewing financial statements, transactions, and investment portfolios for accuracy and compliance with Australian superannuation regulations. 
  • Prepare detailed audit documentation, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions where necessary. 
  • Audit complex areas such as asset transfers, pension accounts, property investments, foreign bank holdings, and unlisted assets. 
  • Review property-related documentation, validate expense allocations, and ensure compliance with lease agreements and industry standards. 
  • Engage with property owners and landlords to resolve discrepancies and implement adjustments based on evidence. 
  • Perform body corporate audits and private ancillary fund audits, ensuring compliance with reporting standards and budget expectations. 

Who We’re Looking For 

We’re seeking specialists in Australian SMSF auditing who can hit the ground running: 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in Australian SMSF auditing, working directly with Australian accountants and/or auditors. 
  • Hold a degree in Accounting or a recognized professional accounting qualification 
  • Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Strong process-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to improvement. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Excellent English communication skills – written and verbal. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients/projects.

NOTE – Work hours for this role are 8am to 4.30pm and requires you to work on-site at our office until the successful completion of your probationary period.
