- Preparation of Financial Statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet)
- Process journal entries, prepare reconciliation and end of month procedures.
- Prepare company accounts and work directly with external accountant for annual audit, tax preparation and lodgment including statutory returns FS70 & FS71 (Australia)
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns (Individual, Company, SMSFs)
We’re Looking for a Rockstar!
- A degree in accounting or professional qualification in accounting
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of direct Australian accounting and taxation experience (BAS, Corporate taxation, FRP preparation & Financial Statement Preparation.)
- Experience in SMSF accounting, preferred
- Extensive practical experience in MYOB and/or Xero
- Strong Excel skills (including use of Vlookups, SumIfs and macros)
- Ability to manage workflow and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail & process oriented
- Ability to show initiative – suggest process improvements
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
